Top U.S. officials will meet with Mexican President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador next week, according to a Tuesday report from AFP News.

The meeting will include Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, and presidential advisor Jared Kushner, according to AFP. On the Mexican side, Obrador’s finance, economy and security ministers, as well as his North American Free Trade Agreement negotiator, will also attend the meeting.

The meeting will take place in Obrador’s low-budget offices, with the Mexican transition team responsible for security, according to the AFP report.

“My office is right here behind us. It’s not very big because the next government doesn’t want ostentatious offices,”  Obrador told reporters on Tuesday, according to the AFP report. “We’re going to put an end to the paraphernalia of power. It’s going to be a simple government.” (RELATED: Lopez Obrador Proposes Border Force To Contain Illegal Immigration Into Mexico)

Obrador campaigned on a platform of opposition to President Donald Trump, previously saying he would refuse to do the “dirty work” of detaining Central American migrants for the United States, according to a Saturday CNN report.

Obrador also struck against Trump in a book he wrote in 2017 titled “Oye, Trump,” saying that “Trump and his advisers speak of the Mexicans the way Hitler and the Nazis referred to the Jews, just before undertaking the infamous persecution and the abominable extermination,” The Daily Caller News Foundation reported in June.

However, after Obrador’s election, the president-elect said in July that Trump’s tweet congratulating him on the election was “very respectful” and that he wants a relationship of “mutual respect” with the United States, according to Politico.
