President Trump went after Democrats for their desire to abolish the Immigration Customs Enforcement agency while also sharing his support for them on Twitter Tuesday night.

The president pointed out that without ICE there will be “much more crime in our country” and then encouraged people to vote for Republicans in the midterm elections this November.

ICE has received a ton of backlash over the last month. Senators Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts and Kirsten Gillibrand from New York have called for ICE to be abolished, while multiple House members have done the same.

Last week, three House members introduced a bill that would eliminate ICE. Democratic Reps. Mark Pocan, Pramila Jayapal and Adriano Espaillate authored the bill, the “Humane Immigration Enforcement System Act.”

While Democrats have tried to push the abolition of ICE, Republicans have done the opposite, sharing their support for the agents and stood behind them.

“In this White House, let me be clear, we are with you 100 percent … We will always stand proudly with the brave heroes of ICE and our border patrol,” the Vice President stated earlier this month during a speech. (RELATED: VP Pence Reaffirms ‘100%’ Support For ICE While Speaking At Headquarters)
