MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski expressed disgust with presidential attorney Rudy Giuliani’s recent media blitz and called him “pathetic” on “Morning Joe” Tuesday.

“His family should step in,” Brzezinski said.

“Throw grandpa from the train,” co-host Joe Scarborough replied. “He needs to go home.” (RELATED: Mika Brzezinski Says She And Joe Scarborough Are Ready To Foster An Illegal Immigrant Child)

“If you’re interviewing Rudy, you need to be embarrassed if you don’t have a follow-up that makes sense,” Brzezinski continued.

Brzezinski also said she had watched clips of Giuliani’s interviews about the Russia investigation and called them “painful” and “pathetic.”

“I’ve watched a couple of the interviews and it’s painful. I’m sorry. It’s pathetic. At some point you need to get your self-respect back,” she said. “I love the laughing nervously, wondering how exactly they can let him get away with it, because it’s so obviously painful.”

Scarborough cut Brzezinski off to joke about how long they spent talking about Giuliani, before the panel decided to move on.

“That’s a five-minute windup for us now to give you the news. I did four and a half,” Scarborough concluded. “Alright, let’s go.”
