Nationally syndicated radio host Mark Levin appeared on “Hannity” Thursday and asked why the press “hate the American people.”
“Why do the press hate the American people?” Levin asked. “Over 65 million people, give or take, voted for [President] Donald Trump for president of the United States … various press outlets, reporters, hosts or their guests have called millions and millions of Americans ‘Nazis,’ ‘racists,’ ‘deranged,’ ‘cultists,’ ‘deplorable,’ and even worse.” (RELATED: Mark Levin Wants Special Counsel To Investigate James Comey)
“How do the press in this country justify calling tens of millions of people such outrageous names?” he asked.
Levin said conservatives have had to watch the press try to destroy icons like Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and former President Ronald Reagan and called the Washington press the “least professional” press corps of his lifetime.
“We conservatives have watched as the press have destroyed — they’re seeking to destroy Trump, [former Alaska Gov. Sarah] Palin, [former U.S. Solicitor General Robert] Bork, Clarence Thomas, Ronald Reagan, the list goes on and on and on,” Levin added.

“The D.C. Press corps today is the least professional press corps in my lifetime. They think that their job is to make an impossible for the president of function,” he said. “To sabotage him, and to advance the cause of the ideologues, to advance the cause of a rogue prosecutor by the name of [special counsel Robert] Mueller.”
Levin said the press needs to look inward and stop elevating people like CNN’s Jim Acosta and Jake Tapper, or they’ll run the risk of becoming a joke.
“So the press really needs to be circumspect, take a look at itself. It won’t,” he concluded. “As long as they keep putting clowns like Jim Acosta out there, who is a drama queen of sorts, and who like to report on themselves and talk about themselves, as long as it’s impossible to tell a late night comedian from Jake Tapper and Jake Tapper from the porn star and all the rest of it, this is going to be the reaction of the American people.”
