CNN’s Chris Cuomo offered President Donald Trump a “pro-tip” on Friday evening, saying that he would be better served to “go after the Nazis peddling hate, not our sports heroes who are protesting injustice.”

Cuomo’s remarks follow yet another tit-for-tat between President Trump and NFL players, some of whom continued their national anthem protests in the first game of the NFL’s 2018-2019 pre-season, which began on Thursday.

Trump responded to the continued protests with a series of tweets, suggesting again that only players willing to respect the flag should be allowed on the field and any players who protested should be suspended without pay.

Cuomo attacked the president for using “jingoism” to gin up racial tension against African Americans while not mentioning the anniversary of the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, where a woman was killed last year during protests.

“You want an easy win?” Cuomo began. “Here is a pro tip: go after the Nazis peddling hate, not our sports heroes who are protesting injustice. That way the president gets his win and that win doesn’t make the rest of us and what this country stands for… losers.”
