Antifa counter-protested the planned “Unite the Right” rallies this past weekend and managed to completely overshadow the white supremacists.

In addition to turning out more people, the left-wing protesters engaged in significant levels of violence throughout the weekend in Charlottesville, VA, Washington, D.C., and Toronto in Canada.

Police, journalists and even random bystanders became targets of Antifa’s rage as the group claimed to be standing up against the hate of the white supremacists.

Here is a roundup of some of the worst incidents.

WASHINGTON, DC:

The Daily Caller captured footage of an Antifa protester punching a man repeatedly in the face. Another man had been hit off-camera by the demonstrators. (RELATED: Antifa Punch Man During Facebook Live At ‘Unite The Right’ Rally)

Tim Mak, a reporter for NPR, captured footage of “masked antifa” launching “fireworks, water bottles, eggs at cops.”

Mak later dodged another egg thrown at his head.

According to footage captured by Breitbart News, Black Lives Matter activists threatened and attacked drivers trying to make their way through the streets of D.C. The protesters kicked one person’s car and demanded they back up out of the area.

“Let him go before he gets that sh*t!” an activist shouted. “Let him go before we wreck that sh*t!”

Antifa members were pepper sprayed by police at one point as they tried to push through a police barricade.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA:

Cal Perry of NBC documented the attacks on journalists at the Charlottesville rallies. Left-wing demonstrators repeatedly tried to block and grab Perry’s camera. (RELATED: NBC Reporter Documents Antifa-Led Charlottesville Protests — And Then They Turn On Him)

“F**k you, snitch a** news b***h. F**k you,” one protester yelled at Perry before grabbing his camera aggressively.

Reporter Allison Wrabel also posted video of Antifa protesters clashing with police on the streets.

TORONTO, ON:

Police and news media also became targets of Antifa in Toronto. Sue-Anne Levy with the Toronto Sun alleged, “Another group of leftist lesbians also followed me calling me a disgrace to the LGBT community while others chanted loudly, ‘Sue-Ann Levy is a racist,’ and ‘Racist Media off our streets …’” (RELATED: Antifa Targets Police, Media At Toronto ‘Stop The Hate’ Rally)

Stan Behal, a Sun photographer, was also reportedly assaulted by the demonstrators, who claimed Behal was “harassing” them by taking photos.
