An Ohio abortion clinic with a lengthy record of botched abortions put another woman in the hospital last week after the abortion procedure went awry.

An ambulance and fire unit arrived at Preterm abortion clinic in Cleveland at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 5, Operation Rescue first reported Monday. The patient was fully covered with a sheet and photographed being transported from a gurney into an ambulance headed to the hospital.

The medical emergency is not the first mishap that women have endured at the Preterm clinic. The clinic has performed ten botched abortions since 2011, according to Abortion Stats 2018. A number of other medical emergencies have occurred at the clinic since 2015, according to an Operation Rescue special report.

Abortion patient Lakisha Wilson died during her abortion at the Preterm clinic in 2014. Wilson was 20 weeks pregnant and began hemorrhaging during the abortion, ceasing to breathe shortly after. The clinic waited for some duration before placing a call to 911, according to records from the Ohio Department of Health.

A number of complaints have also been filed against the clinic.

“The frequency of life-threatening medical emergencies that have been documented at Preterm … pose a serious enough danger to the public to justify the closing of this facility,” Operation Rescue President Troy Newman said in a statement following the Sept. 5 botched abortion. “How high does the body count need to get before the Ohio Department of Health acts to protect women?”

The clinic erected 16 billboards throughout the greater Cleveland area in January with tag lines reading, “Abortion is life-saving,” and “Abortion is a blessing.” (RELATED: New Billboards Call Abortions A ‘Blessing’)

A number of other abortion clinics in Ohio have also been found guilty of serious infractions. Ohio’s Planned Parenthood in Bedford Heights was fined $25,000 in July 2014 after 22 pages of violations were exposed. Violations included expired drugs and chemicals, aborted baby body parts in an unmonitored temperature container and incomplete medical records among others.
