Andrew McCabe, the former FBI official who was fired for lack of candor, is writing a book attacking President Donald Trump.

The book, entitled, “The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump,” will be published on Dec. 4, according to the Associated Press.

“I wrote this book because the president’s attacks on me symbolize his destructive effect on the country as a whole,” McCabe said in a statement issued through St. Martin’s, the company publishing his book.

“He is undermining America’s safety and security, and eroding public confidence in its institutions. His attacks on the most crucial institutions of government, and on the professionals who serve within them, should make every American stand up and take notice.”

The book is the latest memoir from a former government official who has butted heads with Trump. Former FBI Director James Comey and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper have published books this year, which focused heavily on their short-lived relationships with Trump.

McCabe, who served as deputy director of the FBI, was fired on March 16 after the Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General determined that he gave misleading statements to investigators about authorizing leaks to the media for a news story about the Hillary Clinton investigation. After being fired, McCabe set up an online fundraiser where he drew more than half-a-million in donations. A federal grand jury in Washington has also reviewed evidence from an investigation into McCabe’s statements to the FBI. (RELATED: McCabe Raises $550K To Help Pay His Lawyers)

Until his firing, McCabe was one of Trump’s most frequent targets for attack on Twitter. Trump regularly assailed McCabe over political donations that his wife, Jill McCabe, received in 2015 from a political fund controlled by then-Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a close ally of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
