“Morning Joe” guest Donny Deutsch asked if he was crazy for thinking the GOP is made up of “ignorant white men” on MSNBC Friday.

Deutsch was discussing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing and commented on how the Republicans are handling his accuser Christine Blasey Ford. (RELATED: ‘Morning Joe’ Guest Donny Deutsch Fancies Himself A ‘Hooker Expert’)

Ford accused Kavanaugh of groping her at a party back in high school and claimed he drunkenly tried to remove her clothing by force. Kavanaugh has denied the allegations and Ford has called for a number of conditions, before she’ll go on record with the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“Gene [Robinson], am I crazy? … Not that it’s going to happen — the only move for the Republicans at this point, because basically you’re seeing on display a metaphor of, like, what this party is. And just basically just ignorant white men,” Deutsch said. “And you’re just seeing it on display.”

WATCH:

Deutsch said Republicans must acknowledge the accusations against Kavanaugh are a “stain” and then claimed the GOP is running out of options.

“What would they seem like if all of a sudden they step forward — any leaders there and said, ‘You know what, this is at the very least, a stain we can’t deal with.’ And just say this is not the right thing and we need to move on,” Deutsch concluded.

“Wouldn’t that send a signal to women? I know I’m living in dreamland, but I don’t know what the other play is for them.”
