Secretary of State Mike Pompeo responded briefly to a question from Fox News host Chris Wallace about a recent New York Times report claiming Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein thought about secretly recording the president and cabinet members in an effort to invoke the 25th Amendment.

“Chris, I’m not going to comment on that in any way, other than to say this,” Pompeo said in a “Fox News Sunday” interview that aires Sunday morning. “I’ve been pretty clear since my beginning of service here in this administration —  if you can’t be on the team, if you’re not supporting this mission, then maybe you just ought to find something else to do. I’ve told that to my senior colleagues. I’ve told it to junior folks at the CIA and the State Department. We need everyone who’s engaged in helping achieve President Trump’s mission. And I hope that everyone in every agency — DOJ, FBI, State Department — is on that mission.” (RELATED: Alan Dershowitz On Why Trump Shouldn’t Fire Rosenstein, And What He Should Do Instead)

“And if you’re not, if you’re not, you should take this time to go do something more productive,” Pompeo added.

“I assume that talking about wiring the president, talking about the 25th amendment is not being on the team,” Wallace said.

“Not remotely,” he replied.
