White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders revealed the recipe for her viral chocolate pecan pie, and the secret trick to making it calls for a hammer.

Sanders’s pie became internet-famous over Thanksgiving 2017 when she posted it to Twitter, but she released the recipe in a cookbook from “Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy and his wife Kathy Doocy, Axios reported. In “The Happy Cookbook,” Mr. Doocy describes the press secretary’s aggressive method of mashing pecans.

“She uses good bourbon and a store-bought pie crust, because sometimes life is too short to make crust from scratch. Her final touch? She uses a hammer — not kidding, a real hammer — to crush the pecans in a zip-top bag,” he wrote. “Less mess than a food processor, and a great stress reliever!”

Sanders has been both lauded and criticized for her similarly hammer-like approach to press briefings as well. On the “Today Show” Thursday, Sanders criticized Democrats for treating Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination with what she said was blatant partisanship.

“I think that’s one of the frustrations that I think all Americans have. But that’s at the hands of Democrats. They held onto this this,” Sanders said. “They should have brought this forward. Sen. Feinstein had that letter for two months and never brought that to the table.”

Sanders questioned why Christine Blasey Ford’s allegation, among others, weren’t brought to the Senate Judiciary Committee before being leaked to the press. (RELATED: Sarah Sanders Says White House Open Allowing Deborah Ramirez To Testify On Kavanaugh Allegations)

“I don’t question the stories, but I certainly question the tactics, that these individuals were more than willing to give interviews to The Washington Post, to The New Yorker but refuse to sit down with the Senate Judiciary Committee,” Sanders said. “To me that is problematic and certainly one of the big frustrations that we’ve seen in this entire process, and I think that’s why today is so important, because you won’t only hear from Dr. Ford but also from Brett Kavanaugh, and it’s a very important part of this process.”
