Montana isn’t a short ride to Washington. It’s about four hours. But if all hell breaks loose and he’s needed, the unknown GOP senator from Montana will hightail it to the nation’s capitol in a friend’s private plane.

Sen. Steve Daines has been all over the news for the past 24 hours after he announced that he is walking his daughter down the aisle of her wedding on Saturday — no matter what. And this means despite the big contentious vote to seat Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court.

But maybe he’s rethinking things.

The senator’s press secretary, Katie Schoettler, announced her boss’s potential travel plans on Twitter Friday.

Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-Montana) is an interesting choice for the role of savior.

After all, it was Gianforte who infamously body-slammed Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs to the ground in 2017.

The congressman was arrested and charged with simple assault. He formally apologized and donated $50K to a press freedom group. President Trump praised him for the attack.

Still, the lawmaker was sentenced to 40 hours of community service and 20 hours of anger management classes.

Happy flying!
