The Dallas Cowboys suffered yet another devastating loss Sunday night against the Houston Texans, and the team’s outspoken owner isn’t very pleased.

With just over five minutes left in overtime, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett decided to punt the ball on fourth and one at the opposing team’s 42-yard line. A play that could have been a game changer quickly turned into a 19–16 final after the Texans marched down the field on the following drive, taking the Cowboys to a less-than-impressive 2–3 record. And while Garrett’s decision upset the whole lot of Cowboys nation, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones may have been the angriest.

“We were being outplayed. It’s time for risks at that particular time,” Jones said on the Cowboys official site.

For what it’s worth, Jason Garrett defended the decision to punt due to fourth and one being a “long” one yard.

“Yeah, it was a long one. You know, we had a 3rd-and-2, and we didn’t make much on it, and we just felt like at that point in the game — the way our defense was playing — the idea was to pin them down there,” he said.

The Cowboys face the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday at home.
