Well, we’re officially halfway through the 2018 college football season.

If that statement makes you sad, it shouldn’t. This is when the season goes from simply crazy to absolute bonkers.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the best games from the best conference in Week 7. (RELATED: SEC Week 6 Recap: Welcome Back, Nick Fitzgerald)

Tennessee vs. Auburn

This early morning SEC game will feature one program trying to get off the mat and one trying to avoid falling on it. The Vols are rebuilding yet again and are struggling under first-year head coach Jeremy Pruitt. While they’re are still playing hard,  they lack the talent to seriously compete in the league at this point.

Meanwhile, Auburn does have talent but was doomed in the first half of the season by poor coaching and mediocre quarterback play. The Tigers will win, but it won’t make their fans feel any better about the state of the program.

Prediction: Auburn 21, Tennessee 13

Missouri v. Alabama

Crimson Tide fans are pumped about this one, although it doesn’t necessarily have to do with the game. Missouri, meanwhile, is coming off back-to-back heartbreaking losses to Georgia and South Carolina and are on the verge of wasting star quarterback Drew Lock’s senior season.

Lock is a top NFL prospect and his arm will definitely test a Crimson Tide defense that was already struggling before losing one of its top players. Expect a high-scoring game and another easy Alabama victory.

Prediction: Alabama 52, Missouri 28

LSU vs. Georgia

The game of the week will be played in Baton Rouge this week. LSU has already faced a gauntlet this season and it’s only going to get more difficult. Georgia has not had much trouble getting to 6-0. Their road game against Missouri was tight for a little bit, but never really in doubt.

This will be their first test and it will all depend on if Jake Fromm can get enough time in the pocket against this LSU team. I think he will and the Dawgs will sneak out of Baton Rouge with a big-time win.

Prediction: Georgia 24, LSU 14
