CNN senior political analyst John Avlon said President Donald Trump’s Twitter war with porn star Stormy Daniels sums up the state of America in 2018, on “New Day” Wednesday.
Co-host of CNN’s “New Day” John Berman began a segment by accusing Trump of lashing out and “attack[ing] a woman,” after he was criticized for his handling of missing Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
“The president doesn’t like the idea that [he’s] being criticized for not condemning the Saudis here, so what does he do? What’s his impulse? Attack a woman” Berman said.
He and co-host Alisyn Camerota each read a tweet from Trump and Daniels, respectively, as Camerota relished the opportunity to do a “dramatic reading.”
“You read the president’s. I’ll read Stormy’s response — a dramatic reading,” she said. (RELATED: Jimmy Kimmel Interviewed Stormy Daniels And Flashed Back To His ‘Man Show’ Days As She Spanked Him)

Trump called Daniels “Horseface” and mocked her “3rd rate lawyer,” on Twitter Tuesday, and Daniels called the president incompetent and mocked the size of his genitalia.
“Federal Judge throws out Stormy Danials lawsuit versus Trump. Trump is entitled to full legal fees.” @FoxNews Great, now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas. She will confirm the letter she signed! She knows nothing about me, a total con!

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present your president. In addition to his…umm…shortcomings, he has demonstrated his incompetence, hatred of women and lack of self control on Twitter AGAIN! And perhaps a penchant for bestiality. Game on, Tiny. https://t.co/6DpDD5ELtj

“I think ‘game on, tiny’ is the best phrase to come out of that twofer and when the porn star paramour gets the better of the president in a Twitter fight — it says a lot about where we are in 2018,” Avlon said.
