A man was caught on camera stealing and ripping up Sen. Ted Cruz campaign signs in Houston, Texas.
Alfredo Ramos, who referred to the long-haired sign-stealer as a “nutty guy,” captured the video of the signs being stolen and torn. Cruz, a Republican, is currently running for re-election to the U.S. Senate in Texas against Democrat Beto O’Rourke.

Ramos tried to stop the man from stealing his sign, informing the man that it is his “property.”
“It is your property? Okay,” the man said, leaving the sign alone.
The man spotted another Cruz for Senate sign across the street and asked if that was Ramos’ property as well.
“That’s my neighbor’s property. He’s a gun owner,” Ramos replied.
“Oh, I’m a gun owner too … if you guys shoot me over that, that would be great,” the man said sarcastically as he picked up a few of the signs. “That would be really, like, you know, an appropriate response.”
The man started tearing up the signs aggressively and turned around to the camera with an intense look on his face.
“I hate Ted Cruz, I hate Ted Cruz,” he yelled before turning around and leaving the scene.

Ramos followed the man as he continued on to a coffee shop in the area.

“Heidi [Cruz] and I got up to leave, they blocked her from getting out. When we left the restaurant, this actually has not been reported, but we left the restaurant, we went out the door and around the back alley,” Cruz said of the incident. “This mob of about 15 screaming leftist protesters chased Heidi and me down the alley screaming and yelling at us. A waiter from the restaurant let us in the back door to the kitchen.”
