UFC legend Stephan Bonnar was arrested for allegedly driving drunk Sunday in Nevada, and an armed citizen detained him for police to take into custody.

TMZ reported the following details:

Law enforcement sources tell us … witnesses claim the 41-year-old was driving erratically and feared he would hurt someone.

Somehow, a group of concerned citizens wrangled Bonnar to the ground and kept him at bay until law enforcement arrived.

One he was taken into official custody he was booked for DUI, resisting arrest and unsafe driving. Bail was set at $22,000.

Well, I think it’s safe to say this isn’t a great look at all. You never want to get charged with a DUI, and you absolutely don’t want to get arrested after being held “at bay” by a group of random people. That’s a rough look on all fronts. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Greatest Ronda Rousey Photos On The Internet)

You know how you can pretty much completely avoid a situation like the one Bonnar found himself in? Don’t allegedly get hammered and then get behind the wheel of a car. It seems pretty straight forward, but apparently it needs to be said. (SLIDESHOW: These UFC Women Really Hate Wearing Clothes)

More than anything, it sounds like Bonnar just needs some help. If allegedly driving under the influence and being detained by ordinary people isn’t a cry for help, then I have no idea what is.

You hate to see it, but hopefully the fighting legend gets the help he might need before things get worse.
