San Jose Sharks forward Tomas Hertl had a goal for the ages Tuesday night against the New York Rangers.

The Sharks were trailing 3-2 as the clock ticked down towards zero. That’s when the Czech forward stepped up.

He fired off a shot following a spin with only a second on the clock, and it found the back of the net. (RELATED: This Incredible Sidney Crosby Goal Is Pure Hockey Porn [VIDEO])

The Rangers might have won in overtime, but that doesn’t offset the fact Hertl’s goal was pure hockey sauce.

He didn’t even look when he took that shot. The puck hit his stick blade, and he let the thing fly towards the net. It really doesn’t get anymore pure than that.

Well done, Hertl. That was a hell of a goal.
