UFC President Dana White continued to make it clear Floyd Mayweather won’t be fighting any of his guys in a boxing match anytime soon.

There has been a ton of speculation about whether or not Khabib Nurmagomedov would follow Conor McGregor’s path, and fight Mayweather for a huge payday. (SLIDESHOW: These UFC Women Really Hate Wearing Clothes)

Well, there might be a fight but it won’t be in a boxing ring, according to the man running the UFC. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Greatest Ronda Rousey Photos On The Internet)

White said the following during a recent ESPN appearance:

There will no be a boxing match. Obviously, if it was something that Khabib really wanted to do, we’d sit down and talk about it but I don’t like anything about it. I haven’t talked to Khabib about it at all. His interest needs to be defending his title over here. That’s what he should be focused on.

He also made it clear Mayweather is welcome in the UFC at any time, which is about as likely as me marrying a billionaire model by noon today.

Mayweather might love money more than anybody on the planet. That does make anything possible, but I just don’t see a Khabib fight happening. He doesn’t have nearly the same recognition as McGregor, despite beating him at UFC 229. The Irish-born star is a worldwide sensation. That’s why the fight against Mayweather was such a cash cow. Khabib simply isn’t in the same level.

Anything is possible, but I’m not banking on it.
