The Dallas Cowboys apparently have their sights set on Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley if they pull the trigger on firing Jason Garrett.
According to Ian Rapoport, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his son both “have an affinity” for the Sooners coach.

As Rapoport pointed out, the Cowboys might not be the only team interested in Riley’s skills with a clipboard. The Browns are also expected to make a hard push for him to come coach his former college QB Baker Mayfield. As somebody with no dog in this fight, it’s probably time for the Cowboys to can Garrett. They just aren’t winning enough, and that’s all that matters.
Plus, Riley has a ton of potential and absolutely comes off as the kind of guy players want to play for. That can be a very tough thing to find in the NFL.
The only thing I know for sure is that Jerry Jones will do whatever he wants and nobody will stop him. He also has deep pockets to hire just about whoever he wants at a price nobody can match.
