Democratic National Committee CEO Seema Nanda admitted Tuesday that she does not know how to pay for the Democrats’ “very expensive” single-payer health care plan.

Nanda was asked at a Yahoo Finance summit how Democrats plan to pay for the “very expensive … $3 trillion a year” Medicare-for-all plan that Democratic candidates ran on in the 2018 midterm elections.

“I don’t think we’re there yet,” Nanda said regarding the costs of the Democratic plan before bashing Republicans for allegedly attacking Medicare and Social Security.

“Your answer is I don’t know how we’re going to get there but these are all big conversations we need to be engaged in,” Nanda said.

Democrats have generally been unable to lay out a coherent plan to pay for their expensive health care reform plan, which George Mason University’s Mercatus Center estimates will cost $32.6 trillion over ten years.

Rising socialist star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said “you just pay for it” and incorrectly claimed that Medicare-for-all would save money for the American taxpayer.

Cynthia Nixon, who ran against New York Gov. Chris Cuomo in the Democratic Party, insisted in September that she will figure out how to fund the program after a bill gets passed.

Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has been one of the few single-payer supporters that has attempted to lay out some plan to finance his program.
