A 17-year-old female race car driver is lucky to be alive after she totaled her car in one of the scariest crash videos the racing world has ever seen.

Sophia Floersch, a German Formula 3 competitor, was competing at the Macau Grand Prix in China on Sunday. Floersch attempted a hairpin turn on the track, then collided with another driver, which sent her car spiraling into the air before it crashed into a barrier and smashed into tiny pieces. Somehow, Floersch survived the crash.

Floersch was reportedly stable and awake following the crash, but fractured her spine and will undergo extensive surgery Monday. The driver she collided with, as well as two photographers, were injured as well, TMZ claims.

Hours after it happened, Floersch shared an update with her nearly 60,000 Twitter followers.

“Just wanted to let everybody know that I am fine but will be going into Surgery tomorow (sic) morning,” she wrote in part.

She may be one of the luckiest drivers alive.
