There are once again people calling for the Washington Redskins to sign Colin Kaepernick.
Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy went down Monday night with a fractured fibula, and will miss the rest of the season. That means Mark Sanchez is now under center for Washington with McCoy and original starter Alex Smith both done for the year.
Naturally, it didn’t take long at all for people on social media to start the hype for a Kaepernick-to-Washington deal. (RELATED: The Reactions To Mark Sanchez Playing In An NFL Game Again Are Awesome)
Redskins must sign Kaepernick ASAP.

What substitute gym teacher is the Washington football team going to sign at QB instead of Colin Kaepernick this week because of ‘football reasons?’

Colin Kaepernick is also a human being who exists on earth. pic.twitter.com/Tg7KfKae6N

If the Redskins don’t sign Kaepernick now….there is no doubt about collusion as if there wasn’t before. Sign Foster but black ball Kaepernick. This is b.s. that even the racists can’t deny

Just what the NFL needs right now, prime time Sanchize. Pathetic. Another team watchea any chance of the playoffs fade while running out 5th string QBs and pretending Kaepernick isnt a free agent. But claim Reuben Foster on waivers when he might never play. Bruce Allen, everyone

I don’t know what Colt McCoy’s injury isnor how long he’ll be out,but this would be the perfect time and opportunity for the @nfl and the @Redskins to offer Colin Kaepernick and opportunity to play. He’s clearly far more qualified than most of the other options. Prove no collusion

I’ll be shocked to learn later this week that the Washington football team was able to find another washed up mediocre white QB instead of giving Kaepernick a run out…

Let me go ahead and give everybody some free advice here. I hate to crush the dreams of some people, but Dan Snyder and the Redskins aren’t signing Kaepernick.
First off, he’s bad for business. Did everybody forget how the anthem protests he started negatively impacted the league? Has everybody forgotten? I sure haven’t and fans around the country haven’t either.

Secondly, Kaepernick’s play fell off a cliff at the end of his career. There’s a reason he was initially relegated to the bench for the 49ers, and it had nothing to do with protesting. It had everything to do with his awful performance on the field.
Why would anybody want to shell out money to a quarterback that can’t lead a team anymore and is just a massive distraction? It’s simply not going to happen. I hate to burst everybody’s bubble, but Kaepernick isn’t getting back into the league after sitting out two years.

The dream is dead for the former 49ers quarterback. It’s time for everybody else to just accept it.
