The Washington Redskins have their fourth starting quarterback of the season, and the latest one isn’t Colin Kaepernick.

Recently signed Josh Johnson will start Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The career NFL journeyman entered the game Sunday against the New York Giants and replaced Mark Sanchez.

Surprisingly enough, Johnson was actually able to get the offense rolling a little bit, despite the fact he hadn’t thrown a pass since 2011.

Naturally, Sanchez getting benched only further kicked up the calls for the Redskins to get Kaepernick or at the very least caused people to complain about him remaining unemployed.

I asked people on Twitter if Sanchez’s pathetic play was a sign the Redskins should sign the former 49ers quarterback. More than 4,600 voted, and 78 percent voted no. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From NFL Week 13)

As I’ve already noted, the disgraced anthem kneeler getting back into the league just isn’t likely, and it really doesn’t matter how bad the Redskins do without Alex Smith and all the other options. Washington isn’t going to the playoffs, and signing Kaepernick, even if he is better than Sanchez, would have limited upside with tons of downside.

However, it’ll still always be fun watching his fans flip out. That absolutely never gets old. He hasn’t played in two years, and people are actually pretending that he is some kind of elite quarterback who has been pushed out of the league. It’s comical to say the least.
