First lady Melania Trump got everyone’s attention when she showed up in a great black coat and jeans for a multi-stop Christmas visit Wednesday with the troops.

The first lady looked fantastic as ever in the long-sleeve, button-up wool jacket that she paired with black pants during her visit at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, in Washington, D.C.

She topped off the look with loose hair and black boots.

Then she took a flight aboard a V-22 Osprey (the first time a first lady has flown in one) to Joint Base Langley-Eustice in Hampton, Virginia, and lastly, a flight out to the USS George H. W. Bush aircraft carrier in the Atlantic Ocean, per a release from the first lady’s office. (RELATED: Ivanka Turns Heads In Gorgeous Yellow Plaid Skirt Suit)

“We are off to visit some of our brave men & women in uniform today & thank them for their service,” Trump captioned a video on Instagram of the trip. “I’ll be visiting Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Joint Base Langley-Eustis & the #USSGeorgeHWBush aircraft carrier today. Looking forward to meeting everyone! #USA.”

“Looking forward to spending some time with our brave men and women in uniform today,” FLOTUS tweeted earlier about the day. “I’ll be visiting two military bases & an aircraft carrier to thank our service members. God Bless all those who serve in our Armed Forces. #USA.”

“The holiday season is a time of reflection and appreciation,” the first lady shared per a White House press release Tuesday. “I am grateful to all the men and women who serve this Nation. Tomorrow’s trip will be about them, our troops and their families, who sacrifice daily to protect our freedoms.”

“Our hearts and prayers are with all our deployed soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who will not be home with their families this Christmas,” she added.

Earlier in the day, Trump looked festive in a red, blue and white plaid top and navy pants when she joined with the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, for their annual Toys For Tots Drive.
