Video has been released of the alleged incident that led to Washington Redskins player Montae Nicholson getting arrested, and it’s highly disturbing.

Nicholson was taken into police custody early Tuesday morning on charges of assault and battery and drunk in public after he allegedly hit a man.

TMZ released a video of the alleged assault Wednesday, and it’s brutal. The tape appears to show Nicholson throwing several punches into an unnamed man, who goes down hard during the melee.

Once again, TMZ appears to have royally messed with the NFL and continues to be a pain in their butt. First, it was Kareem Hunt’s tape of him appearing to hit a woman and now they’ve dropped this horrific video of Nicholson. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From Week 15 Of The NFL Season)

The altercation between Nicholson, Sydney A. Maggiore and the two unidentified potential victims was reported initially to have started over a road rage incident, according to the Loudon Times.

However, TMZ reported when it released the video that the argument actually began before anybody entered vehicles.

Here’s what I do know for sure. Roger Goodell is not going to turn a blind eye to this incident and arrest, now that the video will start circulating the web.

There’s nothing the NFL hates more than bad press, and a video of a Redskins player appearing to savagely beat a man is about the worst press you can get.

Nicholson better get comfortable on the bench because I’d venture a guess that’s where he’s about to be spending a lot of his time thanks to his alleged actions and TMZ releasing this tape.
