Penn State beat Duquesne Wednesday night in one of the most bizarre endings to a college basketball game I’ve ever seen.

The game was tied 67-67 with five seconds remaining, and that’s when all hell broke loose. Following a foul call against Duquense, their coach Keith Dambrot got two technical fouls for losing his cool.

The result was six straight made free throws from Penn State and a 73-67 win for the Nittany Lions.

It gets worse for those who gambled on the game because PSU was -5.5 favorites, and only covered because of Dambrot’s actions and the following technical foul shots. (RELATED: Duke Star Zion Williamson Puts On A Dunking Clinic In Latest Game. Watch The Majestic Highlights)

As somebody who gambles on sports pretty regularly, I would have lost it if I took Duquesne at +5.5. I would have went even crazier than their own coach did.

What an absolute disaster for anybody who took the Dukes and the points. I feel like your odds of getting struck by lightning are higher than the ending of this game.

Welcome to the life of a gambler, everybody. One moment you’re getting ready to count all your cash and the next moment PSU hits six straight free throws. It doesn’t get much worse than that sequence of events.
