Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano said to expect the Mueller investigation to drag out well into 2020.

“Rod Rosenstein’s people leaked to NBC. Well, he may not be leaving as soon as Bill Barr gets here. Bill Barr may want him to stay on until Bob Mueller is done. Until Bob Mueller is done! That will take at least a year and maybe into 2020,” Napolitano said on “Fox & Friends” Thursday.

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt asked Napolitano why he thought the investigation would continue for another year and cited law professor Jonathan Turley, who said the probe was finally coming to an end.

“I have great respect for professor Turley, and he’s actually closer to this than I am. But you know, we all have different sources, and I have come to the view that Mueller keeps finding things and keeps wanting to get information from people,” he said.

“Why did they indict the Russian lawyer unless they can get … Russia doesn’t extradite their citizens to the U.S., but maybe some deal will come about where they can get information from her.”

Napolitano said he doesn’t think the probe will end anytime soon and claimed that Mueller’s report is likely to be kept under wraps for quite some time. (RELATED: Judge Napolitano Tells Giuliani To Terminate Negotiations With Mueller To Avoid An Interview)

“I don’t think the Mueller thing is going to come to an end quickly,” he added. “I know everybody wants it to. I also don’t think the report is going to come out at one time and in one report. I think there’s going to be various reports, all of which will go to Bill Barr and he’ll decide what to do. He told Sen. Graham yesterday he’s going to err on the side of transparency. Meaning if he can’t decide whether or not to release something, he’s going to release it.”
