Margot Robbie has no patience for questions about her family — and when it’s going to expand.
The “Wolf Of Wall Street,” actress, 28, told Radio Times magazine that she can’t stand when reporters ask her when she plans to have a baby. (RELATED: Celebrate Margot Robbie’s Birthday With Her Best Photos [SLIDESHOW])
“It made me really angry,” Robbie explained, referencing the old-fashion presumption about royalty being expected to have an heir immediately upon marriage. “How dare some old guy dictate what I can and can’t do when it comes to motherhood or my own body?”
Robbie, who plays Queen Elizabeth I in the film “Mary, Queen Of Scots” added that the presumption still exists today, and she gets asked constantly.
“I got married [to film-maker Tom Ackerley in 2016], and the first question in almost every interview is: ‘Babies? When are you having one?'” she added. “I’m so angry that there’s this social contract. You’re married, now have a baby. Don’t presume. I’ll do what I’m going to do.”
Maybe Margot has reason to keep quiet. Just this week, pregnant Duchess Of Sussex Meghan Markle was called a “fat lady” by an onlooker during a meet and greet. We can’t imagine that type of publicity is enjoyable.
