SB Nation recently released a map featuring the best football team in every state, and it’s absurdly stupid.
The team for each state was selected “based on record, championships, head-to-head, and general goodness.”
You can take a look at the map below. I think you’ll all agree that it’s pretty dumb.
I want everybody to be listening real close right now. That map is the dumbest thing that I’ve seen in my entire life, and there’s two main reasons why.
First, they have Whitewater listed as the top team in Wisconsin! Are you kidding me? That’s a DIII team. Yes, my beloved Badgers had a bad year going 8-5, but let’s not pretend for a single moment that Wisconsin wouldn’t maul the Warhawks. Jonathan Taylor would be averaging 25 yards a carry in that game. I’m not sure the Warhawks would have positive yardage by the end of the game. It would be an epic bloodbath.

Secondly, they don’t have the Wolverines listed for Michigan. Is that a joke? Jim Harbaugh’s team went 10-3 this past season.
I don’t even know what logo that is, but there’s no team in the state of Michigan that can hang with the Wolverines. That’s a fact, and I don’t care if any of you agree. This is legit angering me how stupid this map is.
