Reynolds is widely considered one of the most important actors in American history. His performances in Navajo Joe, Deliverance, The Longest Yard and Semi-Tough earned him critical acclaim and the adoration of millions. But Reynolds is probably best known for his role as Bo Darville (AKA “Bandit) in the Smokey and The Bandit Films.

Before Reynolds was an actor, he was a star football player. Reynolds was a star high school running back who received multiple scholarship offers, before ultimately deciding to play at Florida State.

During his time in Tallahassee, Reynolds was a teammate and roommate of ESPN College Gameday host Lee Corso, who paid tribute to his old friend on the show following Reynolds’ death last fall.

Reynolds lived a full life, possessed a remarkable amount of talent and provided many laughs for people across the world. He was a truly great American and leaves a special legacy here on earth.
