The people running the Grammys probably aren’t too happy with Drake after the speech he gave Sunday night.

After winning a Grammy for his hit rap song “God’s Plan,” the superstar rapper proceeded to give a speech about how awards don’t matter. (SLIDESHOW: These Women On Instagram Hate Wearing Clothes)

“You’ve already won if you have people singing your songs word for word, if you’re a hero in your hometown. Look, if there’s people who have regular jobs who are coming out in the rain, in the snow, spending their hard earned money to buy tickets to come to your show, you don’t need this right here. I promise you. You already won,” Drake said before the mic was cut and the cameras cut away.

I don’t care whether you like Drake or not. That speech is awesome. First off, he’s obviously 100 percent correct. Secondly, it is laugh-out-loud funny that one of the most famous men on the planet won a Grammy and then proceeded to just talk about how awards don’t matter.

If there’s one thing I know about the entertainment industry, it’s the fact everybody involved with it thinks they’re the most important person in the room.

Drake going up on stage and telling them how little the Grammys matter is amazing.

You may love his music or you may not. Personally, I think some of his stuff is really good. However, you’re a fool if you can’t admit that his speech was great.

Well done, Drake. Well done.
