Joy Behar, co-host of ABC’s “The View,” blamed President Donald Trump Tuesday for last weekend’s synagogue shooting in San Diego, calling him “the culprit.”

Behar provided no evidence that Trump either inspired or enabled the shooter, who killed one woman and injured four others, but said the president “talks out of both sides of his mouth. He is provocative.”

The suspect, however, reportedly denied being a supporter of “Zionist, Jew-loving, anti-White” Trump in his online manifesto. (RELATED: Suspected San Diego Synagogue Shooter Charged With Hate Crimes)

The manifesto, purported to be written by the accused John T. Earnest, praises Hitler and says Jews “deserve nothing but hell.”

Behar acknowledged that Trump offered his condolences for the killings and said, “Our hearts are with the victims,” but then made the comment that the president “talks out both sides of his mouth.”

She went on to say Trump gives “dog whistles constantly to these [terrorists], and then Kellyanne [Conway] goes out there and defends him and says, ‘No, no, no’ and he’s like, ‘No, no, no.’ Take responsibility for your actions, Mr. President: you are the culprit.” (RELATED: Trump Praises Off-Duty Border Patrol Agent Who Engaged Synagogue Shooter)

Behar isn’t the only liberal who attempted to politicize the tragedy. New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez jumped at the opportunity to promote gun control as did several other Democrats in Congress, including California Rep. Eric Swalwell, who also mocked Trump for offering “prayers” and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar.
