An Arizona family was left frustrated after a hospital employee dropped their premature baby moments after birth.

The premature baby girl fell out of an employee’s hand and onto a table where she was caught before falling to the floor, according to an ABC15 report published Thursday. Derrick and Monique Rogers are speaking out after the video shared to Facebook received over 1 million views.

Derrick managed to capture the baby being dropped on his phone during the delivery. He posted the video to Facebook due to the couple’s frustration over the lack of apology from the hospital. The twins were born on Valentine’s Day. The couple claims the day had been the happiest of their lives, except for when their baby girl was dropped.

“I kind of promised myself that I would never watch that video again,” Monique said. (RELATED: Watch This Firefighter Catch A Three-Month-Old Baby Dropped From Second Floor Of Burning Apartment [Video])

Derrick recalled confronting the employee. “I told him, ‘You dropped my baby.’ He had like a nonchalant look on his face. Then I showed him the video, and he had nothing to say after that.”

An ultrasound taken a week after the fall showed the newborn baby suffered from a grade one germinal matrix small bleed, but the family claims they were not made aware until six weeks after the ultrasound.

Derrick and Monique say their baby girl is doing fine and hope the hospital has learned from its mistake.

“You know, an apology when it happened could’ve gone a long way,” Monique said.
