The St. Louis Blues are headed to the Western Conference finals in the NHL playoffs after an incredible goal from Pat Maroon Tuesday night.

During the second overtime period, Maroon was able to tip in the puck after the shot from a face-off slipped behind the goalie’s back.

It was over so fast that you might miss it if you blink. Watch the awesome video below.

It really doesn’t get much better than a moment like the one above when it comes to the NHL and sports in general. There’s nothing better than game seven, and there’s damn sure nothing better than a game seven that goes into overtime. (RELATED: San Jose Sharks Star Joe Pavelski Suffers Horrifying Head Injury)

That’s what the real fans crave, and we just pray to get a wild ending. I think it’s safe to say Maroon got the job done.

A goal like that is one that’ll be talked about for years to come.

What an incredible goal and moment for everybody in St. Louis and for those who are just fans of the Blues around the country.

Maroon just made himself a legend in the town forever. I’m pretty sure it’s in the Constitution that you never have to buy a beer again if you score the winning goal in an elimination game.

Major props to Maroon and the Blues for putting on an awesome show. They’ll now face the winner of the Sharks and Avalanche, who will play in game seven tonight.
