A Michigan mom was allegedly shot and killed by her nine-year-old adopted son Monday.

Pauline Randol was shot dead in her home and her adopted son was charged with murder the next day, according to a report published by 24 Hours News 8. One of Randol’s daughters Harley Martin opened up about the mental issues the adopted son grappled with.

“She had told her doctor one time she was so scared she was raising the next serial killer,” Harley said. Randol’s other daughter Reagan Martin claimed Randol had been trying to get more medical attention for the second-grader.

“She eventually got an appointment … but that was supposed to be for Tuesday, and it was too late,” Reagan said. (RELATED: Two College Students Found Dead, Police Investigating As Murder-Suicide)

Randol adopted the boy two years ago. He comes from a troubled home in which his birth mom used drugs during her pregnancy. Harley said her adopted brother has no idea what is going on or that he allegedly killed his mother.

“He doesn’t know what he did. He doesn’t understand what’s going on right now at all. He doesn’t understand why he can’t come home or anything,” Harley said. “He’s traumatized by what he saw in there. That’s all he told my dad about was seeing that.”

Harley claims her mother loved the adopted boy and would have done anything to help him.

“She would do it all over again if she had to, and that’s the messed up part,” Harley added. “I know she’s at peace. I know she still loves him, and I know she would not want people thinking bad of him.”
