Everyone loves “Game of Thrones,” but hates to see spoilers of the hit HBO show.
An insurance company in the United Kingdom is now offering monetary compensation for those who accidentally stumbled across “Game of Thrones” spoilers, according to a report published Tuesday by the New York Post.

“With the show historically airing on US screens ahead of the UK, spoilers have always been an issue,” Julia Alpan, head of marketing, said in a statement. “We wanted to address that head on with the first ever spoiler insurance policy, that will offer financial compensation for anyone whose day is ruined by an unwanted plot reveal.” (RELATED: ‘Game Of Thrones’ Responds To Coffee Cup Mistake In Episode 4)
Endsleigh Insurance is accepting claims under 100 words specifically detailing how the show was spoiled. The insurance company encourages the use of evidence such as screenshots. You can receive up to $126 for each claim and policy is “retroactive” meaning you can file claims for spoilers from old seasons.

This seems like a joke, but if it is real a whole bunch of people are about to make a ton of money off of “Game of Thrones.” The spoilers are anyone talks about on Twitter and people have been known to completely avoid Twitter until they have seen the newest episode.
It’d be pretty awesome if something like this existed in the United States and for other shows, too. Only question is, how does something like this actually work?
