Kevin Durant won’t play in the next two playoff games for the Golden State Warriors.

According to ESPN, the superstar forward won’t play in games three and four of the Western Conference finals against the Trail Blazers. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told the media after the Warriors game two victory Durant will be looked at again in a week.

He also added the NBA star’s calf injury is “a little more serious than we thought at the beginning.”

The good news for the Warriors is they currently hold a 2-0 lead against the Trail Blazers. Despite not having the team’s best player, Steph Curry and company have done enough to control the series so far.

They narrowly won 114-111 last night, but a win is a win.

The bad news for the Warriors is there’s no guarantee they can keep up the momentum with Durant sidelined with a calf injury.

The Bucks or the Raptors await them in the finals, and that’s only if the Warriors can get two more wins against the Trail Blazers. (RELATED: Damian Lillard Hits Game Winner Over The Oklahoma City Thunder)

Judging from how narrow the win was last night, I wouldn’t count out Portland at this point. Anybody who thinks this will be easy for the Warriors is simply kidding themselves.

Game three will be Saturday night, and we’ll have to see how Golden State does without their best player on the court once again.
