FLASHBACK: The Worst Blackout In American History

Sixteen years ago Wednesday, the worst blackout in American history began.

The blackout lasted roughly two weeks and swept through the northeast and midwestern portions of the U.S, as well as Ontario, Canada. The blackout of 2003 is widely considered to be the worst of its kind in American history as millions of people lost power for an extended period of time.
