It doesn’t take much to get underneath the skin of WaPo‘s Wesley Lowery. Now he may take that as some racial jab, but I just mean skin in general. As in epidermis. Not white, black or otherwise, just skin. Thin skin, at that.
Over the weekend, Lowery was in Ferguson and all over Twitter when he encountered friction.
It's hard to tell protesters from reporters- take, for instance @WesleyLowery from WaPo who was marching w/protesters pic.twitter.com/WjEcIbg5Z9

Wesley immediately took offense and snapped back with an accusation involving his race. According to what appears to be an old bio, which lists him as a reporter for his previous employer, The Boston Globe, Wesley is “a proud and active member of the National Association of Black Journalists, and previously served as an elected member of its national board.” His LinkedIn profile lists him as the award recipient of the 2014 Emerging Journalist of the Year by the National Association of Black Journalists.
By far my favorite detail in Lowery’s resumé on LinkedIn is the fact that he was a “server, bartender” at the Beechmont Country Club.
Get. Out. Of. Here. Wesley served people both inside and outside? Say it isn’t so.
But I digress. Lowery didn’t stop with accusations of racial insensitivity. GotNews‘ editor-in-chief Charles Johnson easily needled him about the infamous incident at the Ferguson McDonald’s where he and HuffPost‘s Ryan J. Reilly got “arrested” — i.e., detained for 45 minutes for initially refusing to leave.
Johnson insinuated he had a police report.
Lowery wasn’t having it.
