Horrific Massive Flash Flood Devastates Historic Maryland Town [VIDEO]

Ellicott City, Maryland, a historic town known for its antique stores and beautiful Main Street with an old world feel, was devastated Saturday night by a massive flash flood which decimated much of the city.

Heavy rains hit the area Saturday night, and Ellicott City was soon overtaken by water. A state of emergency was declared and first responders quickly mobilized to mount water rescues of people who were trapped in their homes and cars, which were tossed around by the raging water.

Awful to watch flash flooding wreak so much havoc within minutes. Main St. Ellicott City, MD is a river, the sidewalks are destroyed, it smells like there are several major gas leaks and at least a few drivers have been caught completely unaware. Driver of that car at the end made it out safely but was a bit shocked.
