President-elect Donald Trump’s ex-wife Marla Maples wants to be the U.N. ambassador to someplace in Africa, a new report claims.
The 53-year-old second wife of Trump has reportedly expressed an interest in serving as an ambassador to the country, according to a report from New York Post’s Page Six. Maples even made a visit to Trump Tower this week before the speculation about ambassadorship circulated. (RELATED: Trump’s Ex-Wife Says She Had To Use An Alias On Mexico Charity Trip)
“She has volunteered in Africa and she has taken Tiffany [her daughter with Trump] there recently,” a source told the outlet.
Maples recently talked about how much she enjoys philanthropy projects in an interview with The Daily Beast when she recalled a charity trip to Mexico she took during the election in which she had to use an alias because of her connection to Trump. “Everyone was urging me not to go to Mexico,” Maples said. “They were just concerned of all the comments that were made, and I was being advised by many people that I really do trust that it wasn’t a good time to go to Mexico, it could be a danger, even being the ex-wife.”
So Trump’s ex-wife said she went, but she used a pseudonym during her trip just as a precaution.
“I’m big into intuition and trusting where I’m meant to be at the right time, and this was just a great opportunity.”

“He’s always helped me be the best version of myself,” the younger Trump told the crowd. “He brings out the challenge and drive in people. My father is good with advice, as you might guess, but he keeps it short and the takeaway is usually the same, to help us find our own way and our own gifts.”
