Fox Sports pundit and Outkick the Coverage founder Clay Travis applauded the University of Minnesota football team’s decision to boycott their bowl game over sexual assault claims.

“In general, I applaud the University of Minnesota football program for standing together here. There’s still more details that can come out, but I have a real issue with the university sanctioned investigation finding kids responsible for something that the criminal justice system, which is much more equipped to conduct these investigations, found that they didn’t do or couldn’t be charged,” Travis said in part Friday morning on his radio show “Outkick the Coverage.” (SLIDESHOW: This Blonde Bombshell Golfer Is The Hottest Woman On The Internet)

The boycott from the Gophers players stemmed from the fact the school has punished 10 players for their role in an alleged sexual assault, despite the fact the criminal justice system cleared them. (RELATED: Minnesota Football Team Boycotts Bowl After Players Suspended Over Sexual Assault Case)

The Gophers are currently scheduled to play Washington State, and it’s unclear what will happen to the bowl game if Minnesota refuses to show up.
