Students at New York University heavily criticized President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address before the president has even given the remarks.

A Campus Reform reporter went to the university’s campus Tuesday to ask students what they thought of the speech.

“Quite racist at the very least, if not up there with one of the most racist” one student told Campus Reform about Trump’s speech.

Trump’s State of the Union address takes place Jan. 30. Campus Reform visited the university a week before the scheduled event.

“I didn’t watch it because I couldn’t bring myself to watch it,” one student responded.

Another student described Trump’s speech as “pretty ugly.”

“I think it reveals that he has the temperament of a three year old,” another student said about Trump’s speech. “It’s the behavior of someone who refuses to accept accountability for their failures,” another interviewee said.

One student thought Trump’s immigration policy is “very offensive [and] something that I wouldn’t have expected in our lifetime.”

None of the students knew that the State of the Union address wouldn’t occur for another week.
