Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell alluded to the possibility of cancelling the August recess Thursday.

Fox News host Bret Baier asked McConnell, “Yes or no, will you cancel parts, part or parts of the August recess?”

McConnell sidestepped the question, saying, “I will have more to say definitively about that week after next. But I have said to all the press corp and members here I wouldn’t buy any non-refundable tickets.”

Baier pushed McConnell, saying, “If Congress can’t get done what they need from January to July how much will a couple of weeks help you?”

The Senate Majority leader responded that this past congressional period has been one “of extraordinary accomplishment,” and added, “we will add more achievements throughout the summer.”

McConnell also added that DACA is not a priority, considering it has been stonewalled in Congress as of late.

“We would be making a law, and not just spinning our wheels for a week or so. I can’t afford to do that,” McConnell added.
