Harrison Ford is returning to The Indiana Jones franchise for “Indiana Jones 5” and according to Ford, this film will be so epic that “it will kick your ass.”
“Indiana Jones 5” is poised for release on June 30, 2023, but Lucasfilm released a teaser video to audiences at Disney’s D23 Expo 2022 on Saturday. The clip showed technology working wonders to make Ford look considerably younger than his 80 years, and is promising to be a legendary return to Hollywood for the iconic actor, according to CNET.
“Indiana Jones movies are about fantasy and mystery, but they’re also about heart,” Ford said from the stage at the Expo, according to CNET. He stood alongside director James Mangold and co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and shared his excitement about the upcoming film, and the nostalgic connection he has to the franchise, according to CNET.
“We have a really great story to tell, as well as a movie that will kick your ass,” Ford said.
“I’m very proud to say that this one is fantastic,” Ford said, according to CNET. Ford proudly credited Waller-Bridge by pointing at her while adding “And this is one of the reasons.” (RELATED: Harrison Ford Injured While Filming ‘Indiana Jones 5’)
