Video captured the moment police arrested the executive director of Philadelphia’s LGBT Affairs and her husband Saturday in what the city’s mayor described as a “very concerning” incident, CNN reported.
Video shot by the head of the city’s LGBT Affairs Office, Celena Morrison, and posted on social media, shows police arresting her husband, Darius McLean, Morrison’s sister told CNN.

McLean then says, “It’s cause I’m black,” to which the officer responds, “It’s not cause you’re black.”
Morrison’s camera becomes unstable as the officer in the video appears to approach her, CNN reported.
The incident unfolded after the trooper pulled Morrison’s grey Infiniti sedan over for “multiple Vehicle Code violations,” according to a report released by the Pennsylvania State Police. McLean’s green Dodge pulled in behind the trooper’s squad car, and when the officer approached the Dodge, the driver became “verbally combative,” the state police reported.
“The individual refused multiple lawful orders made by the trooper and the trooper subsequently attempted to place the individual under arrest. The individual resisted arrest on multiple occasions,” the press release stated.
“Both individuals were subsequently arrested for Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Justice, Disorderly Conduct and other related charges,” the press release said.
“A video circulating on social media that depicts a portion of the incident is very concerning to me, and I will have no further comment until the investigation has been completed,” Democratic Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker said, according to CNN.
Authorities are still investigating the incident, a spokesman for the Pennsylvania State Police said, according to CNN.
A Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office spokesman said their office is investigating but indicated that no charges have yet been filed as a result of the incident, the outlet reported.
