Sirius XM announced Tuesday they would be dedicating an entire channel to superstar Taylor Swift for a limited time.
Swifties can tune in to the Swift-based channel starting Apr. 7 to get their fix and enjoy uninterrupted songs. In an intentional nod to the star’s favorite number, Sirius XM has designated Channel 13 to Swift, and they’re opening it up to fans exactly 13 days before the release of her highly anticipated 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
“The 13th day of the channel, Friday, April 19, coincides with the release of Taylor Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department,” a press release from the music giant reads. “Channel 13 (Taylor’s Version) will be playing the full album beginning to end continuously throughout the weekend.”
That’s not all they have in store for Swift’s loyal fanbase.
“Swiftie superfans will share their favourite moments, all leading up to the release and celebration of her highly anticipated new album,” Sirius XM wrote on their website.
Fans will want to tune in quickly to get the maximum benefit of the new channel, as it will only be available until May 6.
Swift has long been forthcoming about the significance of the number 13.
“I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first No. 1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter. Basically whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing,” she told MTV in a 2009 interview.(RELATED: Taylor Swift’s Concerts Really Are As Powerful As An Earthquake)
