Emilie Meyer, the girlfriend of Joe Alt, is going viral — and not in a good way.
A standout offensive lineman for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Alt was drafted with the No. 5 overall pick by the Los Angeles Chargers, and now has the luxury of being coached by Jim Harbaugh and the responsibility of protecting quarterback Justin Herbert from 350-pound linebackers. Needless to say, Alt has a ton of potential and should be effective in the National Football League. With that being said, that wasn’t the topic on social media when the conversation was on Alt, rather it was his girlfriend’s outright strange reaction during the 2024 NFL Draft.
During the pick, television cameras cut over to Alt and Meyer, but it was the latter who caught everybody’s attention because, quite frankly, she looked completely clueless — like a deer caught in headlights. And to make it even more funny, she was looking like Rachel Dratch straight out of a “Saturday Night Live” segment.

She really does look like Rachel Dratch, at least that facial expression did.
I know some people are saying that she wasn’t a fan of the Chargers pick, but I don’t think that was the case at all. I guarantee that she’s some book-smart Catholic girl who’s fresh out of Notre Dame (or maybe she’s still a student, who knows), and just felt completely out of place at a big-time event like the NFL Draft. And not to mention, LOADS of cameras were on her.
That right there is why I think we got this glorious viral reaction … no need to be embarrassed, Emilie … this is fantastic content, and we thank you!
