“The road to recovery has begun. Here’s some xrays after the surgery, I wanted yall to see how real this shit was. I’m a cyborg now 🤣 ✌🏾” he wrote in his caption.

The famous rapper started off with a photograph of himself chilling on a gurney in a doctor’s office while wearing a large, post-surgery walking boot. He documented the surgical repair that was required to mend the heel of his foot.

Video footage of the incident that caused his painful injury circulated on social media as soon as it happened. The star attempted to jump off the stage at Coachella but seemed to underestimate the distance of the drop from one platform to the other.

His ankle buckled upon landing, and the video showed that he was unable to put any pressure on his foot when security guards rushed to his side and attempted to get him back in the standing position.

Kid Cudi ended up with each of his arms around security guards that stood by his side, as he hopped toward awaiting medics.

After the incident, he took to social media to write, “Guys, so, I have a broken calcaneus. I’m headed to surgery now and there’s gonna be a long recovery time.”

Kid Cudi was forced to cancel his tour as a result of his injury, telling fans, “There’s just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%. The injury is much more serious than I thought”

Ticket holders were completely refunded.

His 43-date tour included performances by Pusha T, Earthgang, Jaden Smith, Chelsea Pastel and Siena Bella. (RELATED: ‘My Lawyer Will Be Calling’: Luke Bryan Falls On Stage)
